Another big win for AFSCME!
Today, an AFSCME-represented employee won his termination appeal before the State Personnel Board. This victory came after oral arguments, two days of hearings, and substantial evidence presented by AFSCME President Sheri Van Horsen. The 30-year state employee received back pay and benefits, except for the imposition of a lesser suspension. AFSCME and the employee won this victory even with the agency director appearing before the Personnel Board to argue that the employee should be terminated.
AFSCME is the State employees union that works as hard as you do, and today's victory is another reason why state employees need to belong to AFSCME.
