AFSCME demands that safety be top priority; agency listens
AFSCME discovered serious violations at one of our state agencies in regard to worker safety and OSHA violations. AFSCME immediately demanded the records and is filing a formal complaint with OSHA and the Registrar of Contractors
The agency heard us loud and clear. Workers are now getting suited up with proper safety equipment, and training classes have been scheduled.
AFSCME will continue to push the complaint to make sure workers already subjected to unsafe conditions are protected in the future.
AFSCME, the union that works as hard as you do.
